For buyers in Switzerland
Import assistance: from the purchase contract to Swiss plates
You have found a car in Germany, Austria or another EU country — on Carvexia or elsewhere. We work out with you what happens between the purchase contract and the plates, and organise what you would rather not do yourself. It starts with a clarification, not a contract.
Price after clarification — you get a quote before anything costs money.
What we take on
Settle the VAT with the seller
Does the dealer sell net for export, refund after proof, and within what period? We ask and word what belongs in the purchase contract.
Arrange transport and a customs agent
We get quotes for a transporter or a transfer and coordinate collection, export declaration and Swiss customs declaration with a customs agent.
Prepare the MFK with a Swiss garage
Which papers are missing (COC, data sheet), what the inspection is likely to require, and which garage prepares and presents the car.
Put the papers together
A list of what export, customs and registration need, what the seller provides and what is still missing.
What we do not do
- Take the purchase price. You pay the seller directly; no purchase price passes through Carvexia.
- File the customs declaration. A customs agent does that, or you do it yourself at a staffed customs post.
- Answer for the car or the seller's statements. What the seller states remains the seller's statement.
- Promise deadlines. How long customs, inspection and registration take depends on the authorities and appointments.
How it works
01Send your request
With a link or description of the car, the seller's country and your timeframe.
02Clarification
We get in touch, ask questions and assess what the import needs.
03Quote
You receive a quote stating what we take on and its price.
04You decide
Only when you accept does anything cost money. If you do not, that is the end of it.

Frequently asked questions
What does import assistance cost?
There is no fixed price yet. After the clarification you receive a quote; nothing costs money before you accept.
Do I pay the purchase price through Carvexia?
No. You pay the purchase price directly to the seller. Carvexia does not take any purchase price and holds no money for buyers or sellers.
Who declares the car to Swiss customs?
A customs agent, or you yourself at a staffed customs post. We coordinate it with you and the agent but do not file the declaration ourselves.
Does it work for a car that is not listed on Carvexia?
Yes. Send us the link or a description; we open the link by hand.
