Used cars in München
Munich is Germany's most expensive large used-car market, with a high share of premium cars. The Austrian border is a good hour away — including it in the comparison often turns up the same models for less.
Buying a car in Germany
In Germany the periodic test is the Hauptuntersuchung, known as TÜV, and is due every two years. Many city centres operate a low-emission zone — the sticker depends on the emissions class and is stated in the registration document. Buying from a dealer carries the statutory warranty; on a private sale it is usually effectively excluded.
